Brigita Larson (MBA-C, CM) is Seventh Sovereign’s program director, lead mediator, and major project manager. She advises right-of-way, transmission, transportation, and hydro-electric efforts to reduce project-delivery risks. She currently leads Seventh Sovereign’s west coast (WA, OR & CA) and northern rocky mountain (ID & MT) projects.
Gita harnesses over 25 years of natural resource project delivery experience with tribal partners, developers, and regulatory agencies in the western U.S. In the 2000s, she assumed leadership of a multi-generational forestery, timber, and contracting legacy built on close partnerships between government agencies, the Kootenai, and the Salish Nations of British Columbia, Washington, Idaho, and Montana. She helped steer multiple projects through collaborative conservation agreements and efficient project delivery in an era of heightened litigation and environmental risk.
Brigita has MBA-C and BA degrees from the University of Montana focused on dispute resolution and large-scale project risk management. She is a certified mediator for District Court property disputes and has advanced training and certifications from the Center for Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School. Brigita received advanced training in Tribal Commercial Law and Finance through a grant from the John Templeton Foundation. Her BA in Native American Studies focused on cultural and natural resource management with tribes in the northern rockies, west coast, and pacific northwest regions.
